FYeah John Green

John Green is the New York Times bestselling author of Looking for Alaska, An Abundance of Katherines, and Paper Towns. He is also the coauthor, with David Levithan, of Will Grayson, Will Grayson. His newest book is The Fault in Our Stars.

In 2007, Green and his brother Hank ceased textual communication and began to talk primarily through videoblogs posted to youtube. Although they have long since resumed textual communication, John and Hank continue to upload three videos a week to their youtube channel, vlogbrothers. John is married to Sara (The Yeti) and they have a baby boy named Henry.

Yes occasionally I will post things that are not John Green. How can I resist when Hank is so awesome? And then there are awesome nerdfighters to reblog?

This is the most personal vlogbrothers video I’ve made in several years.

I really like that a lot of people I look up to have been talking about their experiences with Depression. It’s a real thing, and it can be hard to get through alone. And trust me, you aren’t alone.

Can you link me to the video where John throws himself at the wall to prove he's not an octopus? I completely forgot which one it was. -.-"

Amazingly… John has done this more than once. Usually, in science once a hypothesis is proven wrong, that’s that. I guess this is why John’s thing is history, and we leave all the Science to Hank. So here you go. In order.

Question Friday

Thanksgiving in Asheville

How to (Not) Demolish a Wall.

Personally, I think the last one is the funniest. Because I have tried demolishing walls… It’s not easy.

Things I Can Do

In which John describes some of the things he can do, which do not include sorcery, curling, or dancing. He does talk about the internet, youtube, and (the real) Swindon Town.

I entitle this: ‘Because of reasons, John Green sits/lays provocatively on things.’

I haven’t given you guys much awkward expressions lately, so I present to you gratuitous pictures of John Green sitting.

Thoughts from Places: The Tour

In which John talks about the tour de nerdfighting 2012 and how much awesome can be packed into a single auditorium. The awesome song everyone’s dancing to is “Shake-a-Booty,” off of Hank’s great album Ellen Hardcastle: http://dftba.com/product/y1/Ellen-Hardcastle-CD
